Annie's Munch Mix

Here's a tasty and healthy snack idea for on the go if you're sick of trail mix or raw vegetable sticks and need a better alternative to an afternoon candy bar.

This snack can be easily created at home. I got the idea from a friend of mine when I was at her home and hungry. She offered me some munch mix- and I found I couldn't get enough! Once I ate through a small bowl, she offered me a bag full to take with me on the road. When I got home I wanted to learn to make my own.

The best thing about Munch Mix-  It is absolutely delicious and easy to make.

Mixing dried fruits (cranberries, blueberries, raisins- whatever you like) and mix in with a package of sesame sticks and a package of rice crackers. Sprinkle in some raw, unsalted nuts (almonds, filberts, cashews). I usually make a large gallon-sized container of Annie's Munch Mix at the beginning of the week, and grab a baggie for afternoon snacks during the week.

Annie's Munch Mix is best served after being chilled - this locks in the moisture, and retains flavor longer.  I hope you find this snack as addicting as I have- Enjoy in moderation, however- One Ounce of Annie's Munch Mix is around 100 calories.
