Healthy Helpings!

Getting together with groups of people - friends, family, celebrations - can always be a pitfall to healthy eating. Keep yourself in check by coming to get together's armed and prepared with healthy finger foods that won't kill your waistline.

Not all finger foods have to be fattening! If you're hosting a large group of guests, impress without hurting your healthy lifestyle. Put out several serving dishes of various fruits cut into smaller portions. Try watermelon, peach and kiwi slices, strawberries with the stems cut off, and an assortment of berries. 

-- Put fruit slices on skewers and serve them up as Fruit Kebabs!

-- Place chopped vegetables onto a platter in an appealing design - one shaped like a Santa for Christmas, a bunny for Easter, or a Jack O' Lantern for Halloween!

-- Pair fresh veggies with Greek yogurt Dips and Vinagairrettes 

--Keep a large salad available, beside plenty of dressings and additional toppings in seperate dishes to respect allergies and food preferences (boiled eggs, turkey cold cuts, etc).

-- Vegetable and Fish versions of sushi are also a great idea- keep plenty of silverware and chopsticks available.
