Oatmeal doesn't have to be Boring! -

I'll be honest- Oatmeal is not the most exciting meal to have for breakfast. I was never one to get particularly "excited" for breakfast the first 20-something years of my life
(let alone, oatmeal.)

But, since I have discovered the necessity of breakfast - fuels your energy for the day, starts up your metabolism, and makes you more awake - well, I've become a convert in the last few years.

My new favorite chocolate alternative - Enjoy Life Mini Chips - they're dairy, nut and soy free, and I actually prefer their taste over regular milk chocolate (crazy ,right?) Get them at your local grocery store, or stock up with a package of 6 online.

Now some of you may  be interested in the fact that oatmeal is one of the best complex carbs you can eat - and morning time is the best time to consume complex carbs. And they are just perfect on cold winter mornings. If this is the case, and you're sick of the Protein Pancakes and eggwhite scrambles, then check out some of these tasty variations to make your breakfast a little yummier.
