Hearty Chicken and Turnip Stew

My belly is SO FULL from this meal as I' m writing up the recipe right now. 

It's OK - I'm sipping on my ACV to alleviate my belly troubles. Apple Cider Vinegar is amazing at relieving any digestive discomfort, in addition to aiding in tons of other home remedies like acne. It's like a little miracle worker. I mix 1-2 tablespoons in with 8-10 ounces of water and sip. 

Anyways.... back to my AMAZING fall-time recipe: Hearty Chicken and Turnip Stew. 

This can be made with or without lentils - your choice!

Begin with setting your slow cooker on LOW, and place 1 pound of lean chicken breast on the bottom. 

Pour over chicken 2 cups of low sodium, fat free chicken broth with one cup of (optional) dried lentils

Next, add in 1/2 large turnip, chopped into one inch cubes, with 2 medium carrots sliced into inch long chunks, 1/2 sweet onion chopped into wedges, 1 medium red bell pepper sliced. Then, add 1/2 teaspoon Oregano and 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes. 

Cover, and set on LOW for 6 hours (or HIGH for 3 hours).
