Clean Thanksgiving Dinner

clean eating holidays thanksgiving dinner

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It's basically the rehearsal dinner for Christmas. This year, however, I wanted to try something different and make a 100% clean eating Turkey Dinner. That's right - all made from scratch.

The turkey itself was the easy part. I needed a little help, however, with the side dishes. And this is where I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to Pinterest and the Gracious Pantry.

I personally do not know Tiffany, but her blog has been an incredible inspiration and help with my own clean eating attempts over the last few years. That lady is amazing. And she helped me create a 100% clean Turkey Dinner that tasted awesome guilt-free.

Even though her blog is SUPER organized - here is my Pinterest board that inspired my healthy feast. Her pictures are a lot prettier than mine, but I try :)

Here's the list of my highly recommended
Healthy Holiday dishes:

The corn bread was my favorite, but I also didn't have trouble finishing off the sweet potato casserole. The carrots were the first thing to disappear from the table. What's great is that I got to try out some healthy recipes, and explore what to use next time when Christmas or other holiday parties come around.

What a great way to still enjoy the holiday season without worrying about the excess weight that we tend to put on during this season!

With the leftover turkey and carrots, we made a healthy Thanksgiving Turkey Soup made with gluten-free noodles. Italian seasonings and pepper made this chicken-broth based meal a winner. Just allow it to simmer on medium-low heat for about 40 minutes, and it's done!
